Day 5 I had to admit defeat

 Why? Story after the photo part!


Breakfast: overnight oats with berries. Story about this down below.
Lunch: bread with hummus and oatgurt. Story about this defeat down below.
Dinner: Frank and Beans. Also down below.
Snack: Whole grain bread, hummus, lettuce, cucumber, red onion and radish.

So breakfast? I really don't like oatmeal. Well. I do when I make it with steel cut oats and oat "milk". But using ordinary oats? Nope. And I had never thought of this before. I did have my mind set on doing something with my oat mix and I decided that even if it was going to take some time before it was done I was going to have overnight oats. 

I mixed 1 part mixed oats, 1 part "yoghurt" and 1 part "milk". And left it for a while. I think I waited about an hour or so and it was still loose and creamy. That and defrosted berries was so good!

Lunch? Oh this is a long story. I will try to make it short. ;)
I had booked a yin-yoga class at the gym. I thought about how long it would take me to drive to the gym, getting changed and warm up. How long I thought my workout was going to be. But I made a mistake here. I left home way to early and didn't bring anything to eat with me.

So here's my defeat. I had to get a few things anyway and added a small piece of bread, hummus and some drinkable oatgurt to my shopping. And that was my delicious lunch eaten in my car! 

Dinner. I thought I had seen a bag of frozen Bolognese in the freezer. And if you know me at all you'd know that Pasta Bolognese is my absolute favorit meal! I got the water boiling and I put what was inside the bag into another pot. And it wasn't Bolognese; it was Frank and Beans! 😄

Oh well. Change of plans. So instead of boiling pasta I boiled brown rice in way to much water. I know that traditional Frank and Beans is served as one single dish. In Sweden we have a dish called "Brown beans" (bruna bönor). It's served with potatoes and sausages. These two dishes are so very similar. Only a few ingredients are different! 

But I did want something more than just beans to eat so that is why I added the rice.

Snack: whole grain bread with hummus, lettuce, cucumber, red onion and radishes. I love the crunch and the hit of onion in my mouth with red onion. 

Dessert: 5 small buttons of dark, dairy fee chocolate and a piece of candy. I really want a sweet treat everyday. It doesn't have to be a lot but I do love a little bit of dessert every day.
