Day 1 the dog food day

As promised: no a lot of writing. If that is something you're really into well let's just scroll down after the photos to marvel on what else I have to say. ;)

For breakfast I had a raspberry and blueberry smoothie with vegan yoghurt and oat drink. Protein powder and also oats.

I found some Bolognese in the freezer and used that for both lunch and dinner. I really don't like this vegetable mix but I'm not that keen on throwing food away. This too shall end. ;) This was my lunch.

My dinner. It really does look like dog food but it was a really tasty dog food in that case. :) Let me break this down for you. I had Bolognese left from my lunch. I just added creamy oats and oat drink (we can't call it "milk" in Sweden so it's "drink") to get the Bolognese more runny. This is going great. ;)

Add more seasoning. Cut up a couple of potatoes in fine slices and also some onion. Mix Bolognese, potatoes and onion in a bowl and put in an oven proof bowl. Make sure the liquid cover the potatoes but just barely. Cook at 200C/400F until the potatoes are cooked. Maybe 25-35 minutes depending on how thick your slices where. Ok. So let's see this monstrosity. :D

I have enough of this for a meal tomorrow as well as some smoothie from this morning.

Money spent: 0
But I did get onion powder and garlic powder to make seitan in the future. :)

So why am I really doing this?

For years I didn't have a lot of money and by a lot I mean enough for both me and my kids to have food for the day. My kids were fed but I wasn't all the time.

Finally my situation changed and I now have a steady paycheck and that made me spiral out of control when it came to my shopping. I now started hording food!

So I guess I have 3 reasons for doing this no spend/pantry challenge.

1. Use up a lot of the food I have because it is a lot!
2. Save money for something more fun and to pay of my last debts.
3. Maybe even losing some weight since I have now cut my soda and snacks to a minimum.
