And for those who are interested.
I am writing down everything I've bought and how much it costs and I will present that at the end of this first week. As of now I'm down 147 SEK (18 USD).
What I meant by "there's no winning this game" is that the fact that if I get one thing out of the freezer it turns out that I can have that for more than one meal. Lets take the pulled soy (vegme) for example. I took it out yesterday and I noticed that I had 6 tortillas also in the freezer but I can't have more than two and I thought well maybe the pulled soy will be good for like.. 3 tortillas. Well... that did not happen! I used a little less than half of the box today.
And the "beef" stew. This one too I thought well... that's just one portion as well and I started thinking about what to have tomorrow. I was picturing ravioli filled with onion and chanterelle served with a chanterelle and cream sauce. So I took out a bag of chanterelles from the freezer and I know I have the right flour at home for homemade pasta.
And what happend? Both of my frellin´ meals turned out to be enough for two more meals! đ Holy Hannah! I can't win this one!
Oh and for those of you who follow along. Yes I did have mashed potatoes two days in a row. I was talking to my son yesterday when we had dinner and that I could have shown him how to make it yourself but since he was now going over to see his dad then we'd have to do it another time. As it turned out he is' still here today and isn't going to his dad's until tomorrow so I took the opportunity to teach him how to make home cooked mashed potatoes. There is no way you can make us eat instant mashed potatoes!
So what else? Oh I do love the size of the brownie bites I made yesterday! As soon as I can find muffin liners that small I am going to make bite sized treats all the time!
I am documenting everything I buy and what it costs and I will present that at the end of week one.
psst.. I am now down 147 SEK (18 USD).
And another thing. I have more mashed potatoes left!
